Suzanne Boesl
Suzanne Boesl developed a love of gardening from her father, who always had a huge vegetable garden and lovingly tended his 5 acre property. Gardening was a source of pride and a way to relieve stress for him. Gardening has become a passion for her. She has transformed her back yard into a perennial garden and is currently working to establish a woodland garden. She loves having a project to work on and to see her garden evolve year after year. Other than spending time with her family, nothing feeds her soul as much as working in the garden.
Suzanne enjoys volunteering at Smith Gilbert Gardens, leading garden tours, working in the house and doing whatever needs to be done. She particularly loves watching the visitors’ faces light up as they see the garden for the first time. Smith Gilbert Gardens is one of her favorite places on Earth and she says “I am so proud to be a part its success.”
A native of West Cobb, Suzanne earned a B.A. in English at Kennesaw State University. She worked in the chemical industry and at Kennesaw State University. She lives in Kennesaw with her husband of 22 years and 15 year old daughter. She had been a Girl Scout leader for 7 years to a troop of wonderful teenage girls. She enjoys spending time with her family (including 2 dogs), cooking, traveling and working in her yard.
